Yesterday I met up with my friend Steve 2E0EFP and we headed up to Carters Bar which is on the England / Scotland Border and 10 miles south of the Scottish town of Jedburgh . Its just over 1000 meters above sea level and still plenty of snow around and temp around -05 with snow showers .
I set up my homemade dipole on the fence line with the lifes a breeze 6m pole and used the latest QRP radio X5105 and it worked well on 40m with 45 QSO's in total and Steve managed to work 12 on 20m which was loaded with contest stations and the Watson Screwdriver antenna on the defender 110 .
overall we had a excellent day and planning more trips for the Spring/Summer .
